Wow, what an incredible weekend we had at The Wise Lotus Centre.

Our 2nd annual free Wellbeing Weekend New Year event took place on January 6th and 7th 2024. This year, we ran it across our two locations. Our main centre in Letchworth and our treatment room in Hitchin.

The weekend was a truly special event for the local community. The teachers created a serene experience for the attendees, a break from normal everyday life. They offered a perfect blend of knowledge sharing, relaxation, rejuvenation and self-discovery.

The Hitchin room offered the one-to-one treatments, while Letchworth hosted the group sessions.

We were blown away by the openness that every single person brought across the two days. New friendships were formed, people supported each other with kindness and compassion and a beautiful energy was created in the centre.

We would like to express gratitude to everybody who attended and to the wonderful teachers for delivering a fabulous range of holistic sessions to support wellbeing.

Saturday

Christopher Titmuss kicked off the event at 9.00am on Saturday Morning in Letchworth with his Mindfulness for stress and anxiety talk with guided meditation. Informative and thought provoking as always.

Next up, we had the lovely Nichola running an hour of Self Love and inner Child Healing. A really empowering session for the lovely individuals that attended.

At 11am, the amazing Chris took to the floor for an hour of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. His knowledge on his craft is phenomenal.

Emma then ran an extremely informative ‘Get your Hormones Back in Check’ session for a group of lovely ladies. We all learnt a lot.

We then stepped up the pace with Molly for her fabulous Connect and Flow dance session, which was followed by a guided meditation with drumming.

We had a spiritual awakening with Kundalini Activation with Piotr. Wow, what a unique experience.

Emma very kindly covered Terri’s Boosting Natural immunity session as Terri was unwell on the day. A huge appreciation goes out to Emma for this.

Christopher was back at 4pm to share The Buddhas Guide to Happiness talk and guided meditation. Another thought-provoking session to support attendees in daily life.

Leah closed the day with a beautiful yoga session to support mind and body.

Clients at our Hitchin room were blessed with treatments from the fabulous Rebecca and Jo including massages, card readings and reiki.

Sunday

The lovely Nicki started the Sunday sessions with a calming pregnancy breathwork class. A lovely opportunity for the mums to connect with their unborn babies.

Many of the mums then stayed on for Rebecca’s pregnancy yoga class. A supportive two hours for the well deserving mums.

The energy in the room then stepped up a beat with Gloria’s fantastic drumming circle. A full group who created magic with their instruments.

Rebecca then kindly returned to deliver a beautiful conscious connected breathwork class with reiki drumming.

Steph came in at 2pm to deliver a sister sanctuary women’s circle. A truly powerful and emotive session.

At 3pm, Helen and George delivered a dynamic 'Exploring Ashtanga Yoga' session. A faster paced yoga session that supported the attendees not only with their physical, but also their emotional wellbeing.

Kim, our hypnotherapist, delivered a much-needed anxiety talk and mini relaxation.

And Nshorna finished off the day with a guided body scan meditation.

Clients at the Hitchin room were treated by Diana to crystal healing and Carole supported people with Tarot card readings.

A heart felt thank you to everybody who took part and explored the different offerings from the teachers. Same again next year?

Did you attend the event? If you have any comments, feedback or words of appreciation for the teachers, we would love to hear from you.

Love and light,

Nshorna
