Consumer culture is obsessed with desire for sense pleasures.
There is the endless obsession to satisfy all our senses, to get what one wants, and to maximise the feel-good factor.
Desire for money, goods, sex, energy, the fashionable, the new and expensive.
We forget how consumerism exploits people, creatures and the natural world.
Advertising on social media, our television screens at home, on radio, in newspapers, concerts and billboards has a single unified purpose – to stimulate our desire to spend money on products.
Have the endless desires to get what we want made us happy?
